One of Detroit’s best kept secrets, Rick Wade has been producing ‘late night’ tracks since ‘91. Soulful, timeless grooves are his signature and this EP doesn’t disappoint. Rick’s tracks are know for their universal appeal, tapping into the collective conscience of the very essence of deepness.
Thought Process is truly a thinking person’s track, with it’s rhythmic essence of vibes and strings, taking the listeners mind to a higher level of conscience. It climaxes with a breakdown that allows you to reflect on journey you’ve just taken.
The evening is broken by the whisper of Forever Night, forever deep. Meant for nocturnal creatures, its groove reminds one of listening to a Fingers Inc. track at 4am in the Music Institute.
A bouncy bassline energizes the dance floor while Bangin’s subtle strings puts the crowd into a trance.
Finally, Rick re-works a lazy, jazzy sample and flips the script in what can only be described as the Pimp Factor and turns it into another floor banger.
